Headline Alert (“we”, “us”) is operated by Reel Analytics. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you subscribe to our daily headlines briefing service.

Information we collect

When you subscribe, we may collect:

  • Your name, email address, and optional phone number
  • Your selected plan, billing interval, payment method, and country editions (e.g. Kenya, Uganda)
  • Subscription status, trial dates, paid period end dates, and renewal reminder history
  • Technical data such as IP address and browser type when you use our website

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Paystack, our payment service provider. When you checkout or renew, you are redirected to Paystack’s secure payment page to complete payment by bank card or Mobile Money.

We do not store your full card number, Mobile Money PIN, or wallet authorization details on our servers. Paystack handles payment data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment, subscription status, and limited customer identifiers needed to manage your account.

Card and Mobile Money billing

  • Bank card: if you choose auto-renew billing, Paystack stores the payment authorization needed to charge your card at each billing cycle.
  • Mobile Money: if you choose manual renewal, each payment is a separate one-off transaction. We track your paid access period and may email you renewal links before your pass expires.

How we use your information

  • Deliver your daily Headlines Alert email at the scheduled time
  • Manage your subscription, trial period, selected country editions, and paid access period
  • Send renewal reminders for Mobile Money subscribers when a billing period is ending or has expired
  • Respond to support requests and service-related communications
  • Improve our product and maintain the security of our systems

Email delivery

Your email address is used to send the Headlines Alert digest and essential subscription or renewal messages. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data retention

We retain subscription and delivery records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements.

Your choices

Card subscribers may cancel future renewals through Paystack’s customer billing tools. Mobile Money subscribers may stop service by not renewing when their paid period ends. To request access to or deletion of your data, contact us using the details on our website.
